Mannington Mills offered me a job right out of high school. This opportunity was described as a paid internship. Looking back, this job taught me the most about OSHA and warehouse safety compliance. It also taught me that working a 9am-5pm office job was 100%, without a doubt, not for me.
My job included the creation and administration of Powerpoint style Computer Based Training modules based on factory and warehouse safety, policy, and regulation as required by the Company. This was a purely office based 9a-5p job. My engaging and active mind turned out not to be a good fit for this position. This is where is learned to drink 16+ ounce black black coffee.
